All I can say is, amazing. The power of the steps is right on track, along with the front legs just like an actual canine. The back legs may need a little more timing though, and thee head could use a little sway. Style is everything, and you have that. I would love to see the finished version. ^^ Oh and one more thing to add, the hair could bump a little bit, you know like "sway" as it trots to make it feel like your actually there with the wolf. The paws are phenominal. (: If you do the tail, I highly recommend it swaying also. (:
I really appreciate the fluidity of this. It moves through and loops wonderfully. On another note, I would like to disagree with NeoYojik. The movement and contact points adds a sense of weight for the viewer. Having a distinct style is also a great thing to have if you ever plan on submitting a reel to anyone or even a portfolio, it'll make you stand out and will show in better detail your evolution as an artist.
However, I think this piece can benefit from more movement of the neck and head, the rest of the body is constantly movement but the head and neck comes off as stiff, usually with canines there is at least a little head movement. But, if it is a small dog they can have little head movement, the bigger the canine, the bigger the movement though. This goes for all animals. The size can easily be better determined if a background is added.
I hope to see the finished project. This is a very stylized and lovely trot cycle so far.
This is quite amazing only thing i have add, since i haven't seen anyone comment on it yet, is make the body a little longer cause to me, with such long legs they actually should be hitting each other. Other than that this is fantastic!! <3
